Hatha
Beginner: Learn basic yoga poses, breathing techniques, and the art of relaxation. Leave your competitive spirit behind, bring your willingness to try new things.
Gentle Yoga: Breathe, Flow, Let Go! Explore the comfort in Yoga. Perfect for those who wish to find balance within the body and mind. This class is good for all levels of experience.
Yin Yoga
Stretching: Build and maintain flexibility in this relaxing class. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to those Yang practices like running, walking, hiking, swimming, biking, skiing, whatever your exercise choice! This class incorporates two- to five-minute, relaxing stretches with a meditative focus.
This class is not for people that are experiencing any hip, back, or neck pain and/or injuries.
GRAVITY
GRAVITY is a fun total body conditioning class through resistance training. With the GRAVITY system, one versatile piece of equipment, GTS, engages all five components of exercise: body composition, muscular endurance, cardio endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility.
Clients of any age and fitness level work every major muscle group in a functional and challenging manner. The pull of gravity provides constant resistance that doesn't vary from beginning to middle to end range of motion.
Fall Prevention and Balance
This is a four-week program that includes gentle exercise, balance re-training, and safety techniques to aid seniors and others who may be at risk for falls. Classes are 45 minutes, twice a week, taught using a curriculum based on body awareness, strengthening, and balance, emphasizing education and prevention. This class is perfect for individuals who are looking for a fun and interactive environment to help them maintain their independence.
Gym Ball
The focus of our Gym Ball classes is to strengthen your CORE! The primary benefit of exercising with a Gym Ball is that the body engages more muscles in response to the instability of the ball. Exercises focus on strengthening your CORE muscles, however, classes will also challenge your balance, stability, and overall coordination, making this a full body workout.
Feldenkrais
Feldenkrais is a gentle method based on slow guided movements, enhances body awareness and facilitates learning how to move more easily with less pain and greater efficiency. Emphasis is on the process of learning, at any age, ways to interrupt old movement patterns and allow the nervous system to learn new things
